Our favorite is Lundy Canyon, just north of Lee Vining.

It's the "Sierra", not "Sierras".

The Eastern Sierra is my Happy place. We stay at the Dow Villa in Lone Pine, and play in the Alabama Hills. Super damn hot in the Summer though! Unless you stay in Mammoth or the high country.

Great video. I lived and worked as a ranger there in the late '90s. Couple of corrections: Pronounced ConNES, lakes and Mount. Also Tie-oh-ga pass, not Tee-oh-ga. It's not Spanish. "Nevada" is Spanish, but locals pronounce the 'a' in the second syllable as in "apple", not "Ne-vah-da". I know, it's weird. Thanks for not featuring the other hot springs on the Eastside as they are over-crowded enough as it is. Twin Lakes has some great trailheads. One up Horse Creek towards Matterhorn Peak, and one towards the amazing Benson Lake on the PCT. Those are two I know about.

Loved Lake Tahoe. My very trip alone without my husband and 2 boys. I was working for Sarah Coventry while we were stationed at the Naval Base called Treasure Island. The place is very beautiful. I would love to live there.

I almost moved here because it's a cute town. Centralized to Sacramento and Tahoe and other towns I like. And because it's cooler and creeks. But suddenly the creeks had 1000,'s of people and I said nope

I swam there last week the water temp was 70 which for me at least is pretty nice and not cold at all. Last year it was earlier when I went to Lake Tahoe and the water was 64 but still nice to swim.

It's "Wa-show", not "Wa-shoe".,and it's "Nevad-ugh", not "Nev-ah-da". You'll never be considered a local until you pronounce them right.

Thanks for the enlightening update on living in Truckee @GabrielleViola. I've been going to Truckee for years as a get away from the SF Bay Area and I absolutely love it there. As a part time resident in Truckee, I find that everything you mentioned in your informative video is true. Good job! ☮️🌲☮️
